I have played piano for the best part of my life, and I assume that I have seen almost all there is to see about this instrument. My quest for knowledge has also taken me through some highs, lows, which have undoubtedly been instrumental in helping me understand how to play the piano.

But if you are not careful, you can easily get find yourself wasting time on techniques that do not work. It is worth noting that everything that you do in the beginning counts. Growing up, I didn’t give the piano any thoughts, and most of these things I have learned over the years. I am trying to say that it is acceptable if you haven’t figured out things by now since playing the piano is a constant learning process. However, with a list of good beginner piano tips, it will be a lot easy to hone your musical craft.

Play Music that You Enjoy

There is plenty much of piano music out there that you cannot exhaust in your lifetime. With that in mind, it only makes sense that you find the music you enjoy and work your craft from there.

The majority of pianists, both beginners, and professionals, often force themselves to learn music that they don’t enjoy playing. Sometimes they do this for a music audition or competition and other times to impress other people with impressive music prowess.
